Job Title: Installation Manager -Substructure 

Location: Perth based              Ref No: 0701


Role of Installation Manager – Substructure to represent the Client’s interests in the execution of a large scale platform installation off the North West Coast of Western Australia.

The position will be based in Perth and requires a tertiary graduate with circa 20-25 years project associated experience and as a minimum, 10 years project management experience encompassing Load out, Transportation and Installation of offshore facilities with particular reference to drilling and grouting of subsea piles, geotechnical issues, naval architecture and project estimating and controls.

  • Responsible for the day to day administration of the technical aspects of the Substructure T & I Contract and input into the maintenance of the budget and schedule together with related activities and delivering the work scopes.
  • Responsible for administering HSE plans and delivery of these plans and their outcome.
  • Responsible to ensure the works are delivered in accordance with the design and specification together with requisite quality documentation.
  • Responsible to comply with Project Procedures

Requirement is immediate with the offshore construction expected to be completed in 2011/2012.

Job Title: Senior Marine Engineer

The role provides high level technical support and some supervision in relation to design and engineering services for marine engineering projects including seawalls, dredging, wharves, as related to a large scale port and harbour upgrade in the North West of Western Australia.

The position will be based in Perth and have specific responsibilities as follows:

• Identify the requirements for engineering input into procurement and construction contract packages
• Ensure all marine engineering project work complies with statutory and regulatory requirements and       company policies and practices.
• Prepare schedules for design work and allocating physical and human resources to enable marine engineering projects to be completed on time and within budget.
• Monitor progress and initiating remedial action where required to ensure marine engineering projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Provide high level technical support for all marine engineering project work as required.
• Supervise preparation of preliminary and detailed designs, specifications and documentation for all marine engineering project work and ensure project work complies with conditions and parameters set out in project scope of works.
• Supervise preparation of documentation for standards, procedures, safe working practices and monitor regimes in respect of work on or around marine engineering projects.
• Liaise with other department engineers and draftspersons to ensure project goals are met.
• Provide input to the marine engineering budget and address any variances from budget
• Participate in technical reviews of all procurement and construction contract packages.

Requirements:
Tertiary Civil/Structural/Marine engineering qualifications & previous experience on EPCM Projects

Desirable:
Experience (indicative only): ~ 7 years professional experience

Job Title: Area Director - Rail            Ref No:0703

Location: Perth-based with travel between Perth and Port Hedland.


Reporting To: Programme Director

The Area Director – Rail position is central to the success of the Client's development and is integral to the delivery of multiple projects within the Rail program.

The role will be responsible for managing, coordinating, and administering the Rail Areas from the conceptual stages through planning, engineering, procurement, construction, start-up, performance testing, initial operations and prime contract close-out.

It will also support, communicate and present to the Client, as well as supervise the development of budgets and schedules, manage performance, report progress and initiate action to assure project objectives and schedules are met. 
Experience requirements include:

  • Technical degree and 15 to 25 years of experience in the industry. 
  • Multiple construction project experience with value in excess of $1B AUD
  • Demonstrated experience in the management of highly complex project deliverables and experience of projects with high degree of technical/organisational complexity
  • Project Management in EPCM environments
  • Specific industry experience in the expansion of existing and new heavy rail systems, right-of-way and land tenure acquisition

Tertiary degree in related engineering and/or related disciplines

Position is Perth-based with expected regular travel between Perth and Port Hedland.

Job title: HSE Coordinator           Ref No: 0601

Location: Perth   

 

A major offshore construction contractor is executing a large scale launched jacket installation and topsides floatover on a flag ship development on the North West Shelf.

A key element of the preparation process for this work will be the gaining of Safety Case approvals from NOPSA for the construction spread, and for gaining other necessary regulatory approvals for the execution of the works.

The role of HSE Coordinator will champion the approvals process as well as manage the day to day HSE elements required to plan for, train, and execute a safe offshore construction campaign.

Only Australian residents will be considered for this role and vessel safety case management and Australian regulator interfacing experience is a must.
