Linch-pin is experienced in producing specialised equipment used in the oil and gas industry. From concept development to execution Linch-pin is able to successfully design specialised equipment for any purpose or need.
Linch-pin’s extensive network of subcontractors enables projects to be competitively costed without sacrificing quality.
Linch-pin is able to offer expertise and assistance to any project. Through a strong partnership between Amplemann and Linch-pin a safe and efficient Personnel Transfer system between vessels and offshore structures was created. Linch-pin assisted and offered its structural and installation engineering expertise providing practical methods of supporting and seafastening the gangway system to vessel decks.
Recently Linch-pin has completed the design and fabrication of a purpose built Subsea Chain Puller.
The Subsea Chain Puller was operated by SapuraKencana Australia to decommission the NCC East Spar Buoy for Quadrant Energy.
The system was deployed subsea beneath the East Spar Buoy where its 400 t rated capacity enabled the buoy to be pulled down sufficiently to disconnected from its gravity base. The Chain Puller was then utilised to safely raise the buoy to the surface in a controlled manner where it could be towed from the field.
Currently Linch-pin is designing an Emergency Pipeline Repair System (EPRS) to repair or replace damaged sections of pipeline up to 60″ in diameter in water depth up to 100m.
