Brett Wilson – Managing Director

Brett graduated from the University of Western Australia as a Civil/Structural Engineer in 1985. Since then he has accumulated a significant amount of project execution experience starting initially with port and harbour developments, then migrating to oil and gas offshore developments initially in offshore construction and then in project delivery and management.

Brett has been involved in a number of world class developments in as diverse oil and gas centres as Australia, South-east Asia, the North Sea, the Gulf of Mexico and West Africa. This geographical range of experience has covered fixed and floating production facilities including wellhead platforms, production platforms, FSOs, FPSOs, spars, as well as associated subsea wells, flowlines, pipelines, manifolds, and umbilical, and has spanned concept select through to decommissioning.

Brett completed his MBA at the University of Westminster, London, in 2000 and founded Linch-Pin Offshore Management Services in the same year. He currently holds the position of Managing Director. He is committed to providing clients with targeted, value adding services.

Nic OKeeffe – Engineering Manager / Principal Structural Engineer

Nic has a wealth of offshore Oil & Gas experience spanning over 32 years. His diversified Structural Engineering career extends across a broad spectrum including conceptual FEED studies, Detailed Engineering, Transport and Installation, Retro-fit designs, and Decommissioning. He has worked on projects involving Jackets, Topsides, Floating Structures, Subsea Structures, and specialised Subsea Equipment. Nic has had a long and very successful career with many major Oil and Gas groups including Heerema, Worley Parsons, Clough, Kvaerner and Linch-pin. Nic is naturally innovative and combines new ideas with his extensive experience to bring practical and realistic solutions together for Clients.

Peter Buchanan – Marine Construction

Peter has over 30 years of offshore construction experience primarily in SE Asia and Australia regions involving Project Management, from concept to decommissioning of Offshore Oil & Gas facilities. Having worked with most major offshore contractors, assignments have included Front End Engineering Design (FEED), detailed design, fabrication of platform facilities, offshore transportation and installation for marine pipelines, offshore structures (three, four, six and eight pile jackets, production and accommodation decks/modules), concrete gravity structures, large deck floatovers, CALM and F.P.S.O. tankers mooring and flexible riser via subsea buoy systems, subsea xmas tree installation including rigid jumpers and umbilical tie-ins, along with field decommissioning of onshore production facilities and offshore platforms.

Peter is proficient at communicating effectively with personnel of varying backgrounds and cultures to influence and maintain focus to meet tight demanding project milestones.

Fraser Maywood – Principal Consultant

Fraser has over 40 years’ international experience in the Oil & Gas industry having worked in the UK, Norway, Qatar, Oman, UAE, Malaysia, South Africa, New Zealand and Australia.

Fraser’s experience covers upstream and downstream, working for operators, engineering consultants and constructors.

Fraser is innovative, practical and flexible engineer covering discipline engineering (control and instrumentation), multidiscipline engineering and study management, project management, specialist technical consulting and general management.

John Davis – Principal Naval Architect

Linch-pin’s Principal Naval Architect Mr John Davis has worked on World Class regional projects and developed teams in Perth into a group centre of excellence for installation operation simulations.

John has over 20 years experience of offshore oil and gas consulting. He has worked as a consultant, expert witness, field engineer, warranty surveyor and client representative on offshore projects worldwide. In these roles he has acted at all stages of the project including front end design, detailed design, model testing, construction support, design verification and installation.
